Bill Schalow – Owner, Event Director

 

Since starting his running career in high school cross country over 40 years ago, Bill has continued to be active in the running community as a runner, coach, and event director.  During his 20 year career working for a large US corporation, Bill organized dozens of 3K's, 5K’s, and fun runs for employees on his own time. Bill served on the Fargo Marathon race committee for 8 years and has volunteered for many other events in the Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo region.

Since launching SoleMOTION Race Management Service LLC in the spring of 2013, soleMOTION has executed over 120 successful events and plans are in progress for 2024 events. Bill will focus his time directing events in the Fargo/Moorhead/West Fargo Region.

 

Bill and his wife Carole live in Fargo and have 4 children, Katie (Graham & Leni), Matt (Abby), Emma (Joe) and Natalie (Andrew).

Doug Krohn - Event Director, Event Announcer, Coach

 

Doug’s passion for the world of running has been consistent his whole life. Starting as a high school runner, and continuing as college runner, 20 time marathoner, elite runner and wheel chair athlete recruiter for the Twin Cities Marathon. Doug has been active in the Minneapolis/St Paul running community as an event announcer, event coordinator, event logistics contractor, and running coach for over 25 years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Doug and Bill kept in touch after their college cross country days and recognized they share a passion coordinating events. Bill created SoleMOTION Race Management and Doug knew he had to be a part of it. Doug has now teamed up with Bill and will focus on events in the Twin Cities area. Doug is a very experienced race director, race announcer and running coach.

 

Doug lives in Chaska, MN with his wife Lisa, daughter Mandy & Ryan, Grandkids Madison & Mason, & his two Golden Retrievers, Jake and Finn.

 

Doug’s true passion has always been coordinating and announcing at events. Doug has volunteered for many events over the years, some of which include; The Minnesota Food Allergies walk at the Mall of America, The MS walk, and CornerHouse in Minneapolis.
